REVIEW & SWATCHES | Burberry Full Kisses

If there was ever a lipstick that I want to tell everyone "You've GOT to try this" it's this one. Trust me, there are plenty of lipstick formulas that come across my desk but very few I am as excited about sharing as Burberry's Full Kisses line which was sent to me as part of my partnership with Burberry. (SALE ALERT: Sephora's annual VIB sale runs this weekend from Nov 11-14 for 20% off, which these lipsticks are a part of, using code 20VIB.)

From opacity to ease of application to hydrating feel, it ticks off plenty of boxes as a favorite go-to lippy.

The packaging has a reflective gunmetal tube which twists the product up from the bottom. There is a good portion of the lipstick which is always visible so it's wise to take care when opening the cap not to scrape the product. I found the tip shape particularly interesting because it's almost like the tip of a highlighter which makes it extremely application-friendly since you can see where the lipstick edge is without any fancy arm contortioning.

I was sent three shades: Rose Apricot No. 521, Lilac No. 541, and Rosewood No. 533. All are a modern, glossy formula without any glitters or shimmers.

Rose Apricot No. 521 is a pastel creamsicle shade. Because it's quite bold, I would recommend it for those with lighter skintones for everyday wear but it is still very pretty as a statement lipstick. It translates gorgeously in photos as well.

You guys probably already know what a fan of purple lip products I am so Lilac No. 541 is totally up my alley. Particularly in the Fall time, it's a great pop of color since it matches both smokey and neutral eyes and it's especially pretty on those with yellow undertones.

You know how I love to save the best for last and Rosewood No. 533 is it! I bet you thought it would be Lilac which is what I assumed, but believe it or not this shade is even better! If there's one kind of lipstick I can't live without it is the holy grail MLBB (my lips but better) and I have officially found my new favorite.

This slightly warm coral-rose brightens my whole complexion and looks natural yet sophisticated. Yes it's not as exciting in photos, but trust me, this baby made me do a little happy dance as soon as it was on. A well-used product is a well-loved one. :)

You can find the entire Burberry Full Kisses line now at Sephora and Burberry for $30 apiece.

If you are stocking up on a few favorites or gifts during the VIB sale, I highly recommend trying it out especially Rosewood No. 533 for an opaque, hydrating MLBB which will work across many seasons and skintones.

Can I wear gold & silver jewelry together?

Stitch Fix

The best thing about fashion? There are no rules. We don’t know who said “no” to mixing metals, but we like to dance to the beat of our own drum, especially since we look good doing it.

Here’s how to mix metals like a true mixing master.

How to Wear Statement Jewelry

FIND AN ANCHOR PIECE

Start with a mixed-metal piece of jewelry and half the work is already done. Add two to three more pieces that incorporate the same metals for an intentional look.

STICK WITH THE SAME AESTHETIC

When mixing metals, opt for jewelry in the same stylistic realm to create a cohesive look. For example, if you normally wear gold bangles, swap a couple of them for similarly-sized silver bangles.

HIGHLIGHT A UNIFYING COLOR

Combine different-metaled pieces featuring the same accent color—the accent color acts as a medium, tying it all together. Try it out with a gold-and-turquoise necklace coupled with a silver-and-turquoise bracelet.

Mixing metals goes beyond jewelry. Extend these tips to all your accessories and you’ll never have to worry about matching your shoes to the hardware on your bag again!

Tom Hegen’s Impressive Aerial Photography

Tom Hegen is a photographer and graphic designer based in Munich, Germany, focusing on aerial photography and investigating the impact of human presence on earth. Examining the relationship between nature and people, his images take a stance on important issues such as food shortage, the evaporation of seawater and the effects of coal mining on the environment.
